Many people in the UK and Ireland now use complimentary and alternative therapies alongside conventional medicine, to help treat symptoms and manage conditions. At The Wellbeing Circle, we believe that our specially chosen therapy combinations can balance the bodies energy systems, reducing stress and anxiety, therefore hugely increasing our healing potential. These therapies, often seen as a luxury spend, have so many benefits on our physical, emotional and mental health that we would love to provide more access to them, in partnership with GP’s in Forth Valley. If you are a qualified therapist and interested in ‘giving back’ to your community then please get in touch.

Our 1:1 sessions incorporate a unique blend of complimentary therapies designed to bring balance to all aspects of our wellbeing.

 

We combine elements of aromatherapy, reflexology, energy therapy, reiki, energy medicine and meditation to ensure that all aspects of wellbeing are nurtured and re-balanced.

 

Full consultation and aftercare will be provided for each patient, plus access to our wellbeing app which will have yoga routines, breathing exercises, meditations and many other wellbeing hints and tips.

Our highly experienced therapists have created this unique 1:1 session designed to help release stress & tension in the body, relax the mind, balance emotions and manage anxiety, supporting self care, confidence and esteem.

Our aims are to listen to your needs during consultation, teach tools to help manage energy, pain levels and stress, allowing you to enjoy some peace, deep relaxation and stillness. 

 

Afterwards we’ll spend some time reflecting on the session as well as giving quality aftercare, including access to yoga, nutritional advice, breathing exercises and simple meditations.

All of our 1:1 sessions will begin with an informal chat and consultation where your therapist will take you through our wellbeing questionnaire to gain an understanding of your needs for that day, allowing us to implement the perfect session  plan.

 

This is followed by a Pre-session Body Balancer, which is a simple exercise that you can practice anytime to calm and centre the body.

 

You can then either lie up on the bed or remain seated for the Relax & Rebalance Session (time to switch off and relax) followed by reflection time before heading home.

 

We’ll set the scene with therapeutic  aromatherapy oils diffused In the air and calming music to further relax the senses.

 

Our aim is to transform any stress into relaxation, leaving a calmer, more positive you to face the rest of your week in confidence.

 It’s our unique treatment preparation which is carefully designed to ground & centre the body, releasing tension and encouraging the mind and body to relax. We’ll use some simple techniques which can easily be used at home to help manage stress and help prepare for sleep/rest.

This is ‘your’ time to lie down, relax (fully clothed) and switch off for half an hour. We’ll use a variation of non-invasive re-balancing techniques beginning with an optional gentle reflexology hand massage with specially selected aromatherapy blends followed by some reiki and energy medicine techniques to help you switch off and relax the mind and body.

 

If preferred we can do the session completely hands off.

You should find yourself either very relaxed and chilled (feeling ‘lighter’) or feeling re-energised.

 

During ‘Reflection’ when chatting about your experience, you’ll have time to come fully back into your awareness as you may feel so relaxed that you are a little spaced-out.

 

It is not unusual for people to experience a mild detoxification as the body adjusts itself to the energy shift. It is recommended that you drink extra water and/or herbal tea to allow the toxins to flush out more readily.

 

We’ll give you an aftercare pack with information You need.

 

You may want to rest more so be kind to yourself and allow time for that. Many people report sleeping well after a session.

 

Your therapist will give you an information pack to take away including aftercare, wellbeing tips on nutrition, breathing exercises and simple stretches to manage stress as well as a mini wellbeing care pack to take away.

 

Most people feel an immediate improvement in their levels of pain and energy.

An overall feeling of wellbeing may also be experienced.

Try to avoid stimulants after the session such as alcohol, caffeine and tobacco… allow your body time to rebalance.

 

Avoid large meals for the rest of the day to give the digestive system time to relax.

We like to diffuse organic aromatherapy oil blends in the room to help bring add to the calm and tranquil atmosphere.

 

Aromatherapy oils can calm anxiety by impacting the limbic system, the part of the brain that controls emotions.

 

We also offer the option to add a couple of drops of our calming blend to the hand massage oil. (Just let our therapist know if you’d rather have carrier oil only).

Scientific evidence has shown that regular hand massage may help ease pain and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.

Hand massage can also compliment treatments for arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and other conditions.

 

Hand reflexology is an ancient healing practice that targets specific areas of your body by applying pressure to points on the hands.

 

We offer a short, relaxing reflexology hand massage designed to relax your body and support your healing process.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation and stress reduction. It is a simple, natural, non-invasive and effective form of energy work that facilitates deep relaxation, stress reduction and promotes general feelings of wellbeing.

Reiki (and energy therapy) can be used along with all other forms of treatment and often helps relieve side effects and promotes recovery.
